Information
MEL is a design studio, founded in 2025 by Michael Legan. With an emphasis on well-made furniture, available to broad audiences, MEL focuses on designing environments and objects that excite awareness of space and sensation.
Professionals & Trade Discount
Interior designers, architects, and other professionals may be eligible for various trade discounts. For details, CAD files, lead times, and more, please send a message to [email protected].
Ordering Orders are processed through Stripe. You'll receive a confirmation email when your order is placed and another when it ships with tracking.
We reserve the right to cancel an order if an item is out of stock, if we cannot deliver to your area, or if a product was listed at an incorrect price due to an error. In such cases we'll notify you by email and refund any amount charged.
We do our best to keep pricing accurate and current. Prices are subject to change.
DeliveryMost orders ship within five business days. Shipping times are estimates and may vary once a parcel is with the carrier.
For orders outside the U.S., email [email protected] before ordering. International customers are responsible for any import duties and taxes assessed by the destination country.
If your order hasn't arrived, or tracking shows it delivered but it isn't with you, email [email protected].
Payments
Payments are processed through Stripe. Card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers. See Stripe's privacy policy for how they handle payment data. All prices are in U.S. dollars.
Returns
If something arrives damaged or isn't right, email [email protected].
Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery if the piece is unused, in its original packaging, and in resaleable condition. We'll refund the item cost once we receive it. Return shipping is the buyer's responsibility.
WarrantyMEL warrants that products are free from defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of delivery. If a product proves to be defective within the warranty period, MEL will, at its discretion, repair or replace the product at no cost to you.
This warranty does not extend to normal wear, accidental damage, modifications, or use in conditions outside a typical indoor environment. Minor variations in finish, particularly in the powder coat, are inherent to the manufacturing process.

Cookies and Local StorageWe use your browser's local storage to save your cart between visits — it stays on your device until you submit an order. You can clear it through your browser settings at any time. We don't use tracking cookies or third-party analytics. Essential security cookies may be set to protect the site.
Governing Law and UpdatesThese terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota. We may update these terms and this policy from time to time; continued use of the site means you accept the current version.
